Partnership In Helping Our Community Thrive
It is the goal of any community to serve it's community the best of their capacity through building of business, creating jobs and opportunities and more. If the people in the community grow then the community grows as well.
The River Church located on 234 Main Street Danbury CT believes in not just being apart of the community but contributing to the growth of the community. Their vision of building a multicultural and multi-generation church that serves their community is being placed into practice this summer by their Children Department.
The Children Department lead by Amber Alessandro at The River Church is getting ready for their first Danbury Community Reading Day in the month of August! Their desire is to help those children who are struggling in their reading by providing three days in the month of August that has fun filled reading activities to help prepare children ages 4-10 for the upcoming year!
"I was that kid that had problems catching up the first month of school because my summers were filled with extracurricular activities with didn't include reading. Getting the opportunity to volunteer at the Danbury Community Reading Day with our staff and Children Department to me means ensuring one less kid becomes like me on their first month of school" says Pastor Brandon Whitfield of The River Church.
Speak Life couldn't miss this opportunity to partner financially with the local church to give back to our community by helping our children, who are the future of tomorrow, thrive.
This event is a FREE event for children between the ages of 4-10. You can purchase your tickets at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/danbury-community-reading-day-tickets-64425101212?aff=ebdssbdestsearch.
